  • Okay so what is the deal with the Frisian flag on this house? I really need to know.

    • I really want to know how you knew that’s what it was. I live nearby, and always wondered about that flag. Well done.

      • At least my post was useful for something :p.

I’m from the Farm Country part of Holland, that’s how I know. I’m half-tempted to just knock on the door and ask.

    • Ha! For all my years living a few blocks down the street from this (amazingly awesome) house, I was confused and thought this was a leather pride flag:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leather_Pride_flag. Someone used to fly the actual leather pride flag near Logan Circle. It took some sleuthing for me to figure out what it was. There are so many flags out there…

  • This is my favorite house in DC. The wrap around porch is out of my dreams.

  • I want to go to there

  • One of the owners is Dutch, thus the Frisian flag… I’m one of the neighbors. FYI, they are wonderful people and some of the best neighbors I’ve ever had.

  • Years ago Columbia Heights used to have a Columbia Heights house tour. This house was on the tour and I got the change to look inside. It was really, really nice back then. It’s probably even nicer now. They’re added the parking space and the landscaping – very nice. And I love the wrap-around porch as well.

  • Euclid between 13th and 12th, the best block in DC
