Great location, and the living area seems fine. But those bedrooms…all brick walls with barred windows is just depressing.

I think it’s a good deal.
I don’t know if it could ever be an awesome enough deal for me to live in a basement. All the basements I’ve been in, in Mt P (about 5) are damp and full of bugs.
Where’s the 2nd bedroom? in the laundry room nex tto the boiler? Lol
Fabulous location, for people young and into urban living. Ample nightlife within walking distance, excellent bus service, the Metro stop just two blocks away, markets and shopping all within easy walking distance. Traffic is an annoyance, Irving Street being a crosstown arterial, and “quiet” this location is not. But for a young-urban, no-car lifestyle, it’s ideal.
