  • I know that building and can’t believe they’re charging that much for such a dump. Slapping a new coat of paint on a tiny 2 bedroom doesn’t justify this price.

    • What makes you think its a dump to begin with? I have a friend who lives there and the building was completely renovated inside about 10 years ago, which is better than I can say for the majority of apartments in this city.

  • I like this building, convenient to U st and Columbia Heights. Cute place, fair price for 2 ppl.

  • I agree, good location, good square footage, good price for the area.

  • almost bought in this building a couple years back. From what I remember the units are oddly laid out and the location isn’t great the safest – especially for the price

  • Have definitely seen other 2/2s on Chapin at/near that price lately. Nice street, close to the park, access to U St/14th St scene.

  • I worked in this building when it was a shelter for homeless families

  • It looks a lot more spacious than the 2 BR/1 BA unit I rented from 2003 to 2005, but be warned that the second bedroom in those units is TINY – 5×10 at most.
