The 5pm Post – DC Lady Arm Wrestlers March 10 match to benefit DC Firefighters Burn Foundation

From an email:

D/CLAW’s next event, Saturday, March 10, will raise money for DC Firefighters Burn Foundation and their kids summer camp. Among the eight ladies competing Saturday for the league’s coveted prize, the Golden Bicep, are two local firefighters from the District and Virginia.

WHEN: Saturday, March 10. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., match starts at 8 p.m.

WHERE: American Legion Post 8 on Capitol Hill—conveniently located a few blocks from Capitol South metro stop at 224 D Street, SE.

WHY: It’s hilarious and you can feel good about raising money for charity!

COST: Tickets $5 at the door! Plus everyone is encouraged to bet on their favorite wrestler each round. In every round, the person who bets the most on the winning wrestler will receive a prize. All the betting money goes to charity.

WHO IS THIS FOR: The D.C. Firefighters Burn Foundation is a non-profit founded by active and retired Washington, D.C. Firefighters. Their mission is to prevent burns and improve the quality of life for burn survivors through programs, education and research. Every summer the Foundation sends burn survivors to a week-long summer camp. The program is offered to any young burn survivor ages 8-18 in the Washington Metropolitan Area at no cost and includes transportation along with the supervision of a burn nurse and a firefighter.
