Back in Nov. 2009 Shakti yoga moved into the old Longview Gallery space at 1302 9th St, NW by the Convention Center. Unfortunately a for rent sign has gone up on the front window saying the space is available April 1st. Shakti also has a Brookland location at 3805 13th St, NE.

God you people are boring. Why not more chatter about their footwears?
Cheesy and cheap. Something you'd expect the Montgomery, Al. Convention's Bureau to run...
People thought it was a good look at the time.

It appears Shakti hasn’t heard the news – their Web site still has both locations listed.
Why couldn’t they still be open? Sounds like they don’t have to vacate until the end of the month, right?
I hope a good yoga studio opens there. It is the perfect spot.
They heard the news- if you go to their website they explained what happened.
I went to their website and facebook page and have seen no update/explanation. What have you heard/seen?
Sadly Lamont Bishop art gallery one block up between N and O is also closing with a new for-rent sign just going up, but in this case it’s because of bullying by what they say are the worst landlords on earth.
Bullying by the landlord? I looked at the building to rent for my business before Longview moved into it, but the price and terms seemed unreasonable. Dodged a bullet? Moving up and out to better vibes, Shakti!
I’m one of the owners of 1314 9th and landlord for Lamont Bishop Gallery. They are 6 months in arrears in rent etc. and an eviction is forthcoming. Should we bake them a cake?
