“At first it looks like a tiny home, but I’m pretty sure it’s part of a larger house that is built into the side of the slope. You can see a metal stovepipe sticking out of the ground nearby.”

Its actually one of the first examples of a “green” house in DC: it was built in 1981, way before its time. It was built as a passive solar house with a green roof. We have it in our history book entitled Forest Hills, along with other contemporary architecture built in the neighborhood.
