But, but.... There's a PUPPY involved!! Hanging's too good for him.
This is a weird request, but I'm willing to try anything...
I am looking for a person...
Agreed. A new low, DC developers. For shame.
Because this house needs $200K in renovations. Notice it has window units and not a true...
You should meet the man that did all that artwork. He's insanely talented.
Boring interior, horrible decor, kitchen is underwhelming. Too hard to get in and out of that neighborhood – at certain times of day the traffic through there is bumper to bumper. Meh. If I had 2 million I think I could do better.
The outside grounds, the pool look yummy. The inside is rather disappointing. Is that linoleum on the floor in the foyer/entrance? If it’s marble, the photo needs to be re-done so there is no mistaking it for linoleum, as I have. Really, the kitchen has been re-done? The cabinets look cheap – and maple is a pretty cheap finish for them. I don’t hate maple cabinetry, I’m just saying. The stove – please. That is insulting for a home that is priced over 2 million. I want to like the kitchen but I just don’t. Even if you don’t want to go all out in spending while re-doing kitchen, there are ways to do it where it doesn’t look cheap. I hate those vertical blinds in the kitchen, too. Add to the cheapness effect. I do like the sunroom. However, most of the rooms (and this is on the first level, which is supposed to be the most impressive) are surprisingly ordinary. The powder room – can you say allergy. The master bath almost reeled me in, but then I saw that awful round light smack center of the mirror. Really? The bathroom might be the only “element of porn” in this house.
I’d pass.
That round thing in the bathroom is a window. Unfortunately it doesn’t distract from the awfulness of the marble tile. All the light fixtures have to go, all the window blinds. The kitchen looks super cheap. The pool is nice, but i would want to rip out all that brick paving. If I had 2 million dollars.
anongardener,
Oh, I see you are right; it is indeed a window. Well, apparently I was distracted by all that veined-white chocolate-looking marble in the bathroom.
That entire neighborhood is super creepy. Every single house is identical, the only way to tell them apart is the house numbers. It’s like that episode of the X Files when the homeowner’s association monster ate the people who violated the bylaws.
Vertical blinds should disqualify a house from House Porn status!
This has to be the USA Network of house porn.
Its sad that it takes $2M to buy that. Nice neighborhood but besides the grounds – underwhelming. Put this crocus back in the ground and hope that after next winter something better pops up.
Like anongardener, I think that if I had $2 million I could do better than this. The only room in the house that looks appealing is the quasi-conservatory with lots of windows and skylights.
The wallpaper in the powder room is out of control!
Ghastly. Should appeal to Floridians looking for the cache of a DC address.
Tough material to work with, but someone should upgrade the staging, or get rid of all the Pier-1 furnishings.
