Love the potential of the house (very unique feel) but I feel like for 900K it should be more….refined?
It’s got 4 good-sized bedrooms and a bonus room! What more could you want for 900k inside DC?
Central Air
Central Air is the number one thing. Also, the kitchen and baths aren’t what I would expect for 900K. Look to be lower end. All that said, I still expect this place to go quickly. Just a little expensive for me.
What more? To be in-bounds for a school I can confidently send my kid to.

Love this house – but price seems high for a place that does not have central air. Is does have a TON of potential though and if I had the money I would make an offer
This is a nice looking house, but how does it resemble an Italian villa? I’m not sure there’s a single “villa” style, but they typically involve much flatter roofs with terracotta tiles, to begin with.
I love this house. Looks very unique and rustic with all the wood trim in the rooms, and the sunroom is awesome. But is up with those dining room chairs…are they plastic?? So strange.
I know it’s all real estate jargon, but this place says “English Country Cottage” not “Italian Villa” to me.
Places like this will always seem “a little high for 900k”, but I think that is the general idea. At a price like that, there’s usually going to be room to negotiate. You list at 900, and then maybe entertain some offers at over 825-875k. I honestly think it is pretty competitive at that range, and allows the buyer to put their own touches on it.
I think it is a great property and a good value, with some improvements. While not really metro accessable, this neighborhood is very convenient to Cleveland Park without the high $/sf

According to dollartimes.com, $12K in 1926 is equal to $151,288 today!
I think the house is gorgeous.
