Your Afternoon Animal Fix

If you have any fun or interesting animal/pet photos please shoot me an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and what neighborhood you’re from or upload to the PoPville flickr pool with your pets name and neighborhood. I can’t guarantee I’ll get them all posted but I’ll do my best.

“Tilly, flashing her pearly whites for the camera for the Afternoon Animal Fix. We live in Columbia Heights.”

“This is Ryder from Petworth and she is patiently awaiting her flight to Texas”

“This is our French Bulldog Louie from Hill East.”

  • I love Ryder’s “Owl Eyes”!

Hope Ryder’s flight went well! I know I’m going to have to take my kitty on a plane at some point in the future and am not looking forward to it…

  • @Ryder’s owner: What soft sided cat carrier (the one pictured) do you use? While I have a hard sided carrier, I am thinking about getting a soft sided one because I think it’d be a little more comfortable (and hopefully ease the stress of traveling) for my cat. Also, how large is Ryder? Just so I can see if my cat could fit in the same type of soft sided carrier.

    • It is Sturdi Products brand and I bought it at Big Bad Woof in Hyattsville but I think they have DC locations. I can’t recall how much Ryder weighs (I think 7-8 lbs) but she is an average weight and very long. She fits just fine! The carrier is very long and she can turn around in it. The carrier cost me about 80 dollars but it’s made very well and will last a long time.
