A reader recently nominated the lot at 1443 Chapin St, NW for a horse’s ass award. Another reader sends word that the lot has just been sold at auction.
They write:
“This morning there was a sign posted on the fence that said “this property sold at tax sale.”
That sounds like potentially great news for the former home of the Privado.”
Anyone happen to know who bought it?

Ha ha ha and a Payless!
I've lived in 6 states and the district, and DC DMV is far and away the best DMV...
If someone is so obsessed with looking up your skirt that they will stare up six stories...
You hear wrong.
Name your source, so I know who not to listen to.
That's the actual name of the distilling company who produces Green Hat gin.
Does anybody know what’s going on with the building at the SW corner of Georgia and Randolph? The one that used to house Goin’s on the corner as well as a Caribbean market and dry cleaner? None of the businesses have been active in the past several years and I’ve noticed the facade of the building is starting to fall apart, especially on the Shepherd side. Do any tenants actually still live inside?
It appears that Munitrust Capital Fund II bought it in July 2011.
