  • OMG their SMOG and Baltimore Bomb pies are ridiculously delicious!

  • Been meaning to try their Caramel Apple Crumb pie for awhile. This will definitely make connecting with them easier.

  • Woo! $8 slice of pie here I come, right after my $4.50 cupcake!

    (But their pies are good.)

This is not going to help my crab and cheddar quiche addiction.

  • FYI, this is actually their third location. The original is in Baltimore.

CANNOT WAIT. I may need to re-route my commute home to incorporate this, at least once a week.

  • yes, a bit overpriced, but for such a huge pie fan, this is a dessert I can really get on board with paying an extra couple bucks than my wallet wants to spend.

However, with their second store in DC (and their Pie Truck) can we say DC’s next fad after Cupcakes > Frozen Yogurt > Burgers is going to be Pie? Or is Fuel and Pi indicative of pizza being the next food fad? (And aside from the cupcakes, all of these new fad restaurants have been out of town mini-chains…can’t we think of something ourselves?!).

OK, I am already in a pie CSA and eat two pies every two weeks, at minumum. But I used to lack access to dangerously delicious pies because far-H St was not accessible to me way up in 16th St Hts and not near my office. But now this will be within my easy metro access. I don’t know how I will avoid a crusty and delicious death.

  • This is the best news I’ve heard all week.

  • wow, at first I was excited because now I’ll finally get to try this place, but the prices per slice are insane. I’m sure they have to charge that given the cost of rent in dc, but I’m way too sensible to pay $8 for a slice of pie… or $3 for a mediocre cupcake for that matter… or $7 for a cup of froyo…

somehow a $13 martini is reasonable to me though. funny.

    • $7 for a cup of froyo? JesusChrist – how much froyo and extras are you loading up in one cup?

      • y’ever been to pinkberry? medium w/ two toppings runs almost $7 if memory serves.

        • ah-ha no, never been to pinkberry. when i read froyo i immediately thought of the actual place called frozenyo. think i’ll stick with frozenyo then because it’s much cheaper.

  • good, but not so much better to justify the insane overpricing. However, hooray for non-vacant buildings!
