It is very surprising. There hasn't been a serious crime in this portion of eckington in...
Wow. That's horrible. I cannot believe the audacity of some people. Did she not thin you...
thanks for writing citykids! great addition!
I live a block away from that corner too... and it's the one area I try to avoid passing...
Rant: a friend of mine cancelled on our plans to go to a play this afternoon because she...
wow! 8 bedrooms for 6.675? Why that’s only $834,375 per bedroom!!!
That’s pretty spectacular. I’m having such a hard time wrapping my head around the notion of paying $35k/month in rent that I can’t tell whether it’s a good deal or not.
Wow, I guess they either couldn’t sell it for what they were asking or changed their mind.
Group House!!! heh heh…
Stick 6 people in a room and it’s totally affordable! Great deal.
I rather like it!
And the (comparatively) minimalist staging is a relief after the medieval-French overkill on that one from earlier today.
Thanks for posting this! I go passed this house on runs often and always wanted to see inside. It has been for sale for a bit now. They even had an open house which I missed. If I had tons of money, I would buy it.
Well, if you got 34 of your closest friends to live there with you, the rent would actually be quite reasonable!
I’m just happy it doesn’t look like a Provencal whore house. Sold!
For what its worth, the rental price is very slightly below the monthly mortgage payments on this house if you were to buy it with a 20% down payment.
Except for all the boring white paint – easily fixed – and the wine cellar – I just don’t drink that much wine – this is my dream house. Note to self: buy lottery ticket on the way home.
Good lord, rich people with taste. I don’t understand why this didn’t sell. Maybe they should knock off another million.
Maybe because the asking price is well over 6.5 million. I know there are people with that kind of money but let’s face it – I still think the pool of potential buyers is not that great. I’m sure your statement is rhetorical. When I first saw this one, I thought of an embassy as the potential buyer. For all you get, it might be worth it at that price, but less so for a single family as owner. Honestly, though, it’s harder to wrap my head around this one as a rental because I can’t imagine anyone in their “right”mind who would spend 35K/mo for a place they don’t call their own. Yes, even with all you would get. It was obvious that that rent was about the mortgage (as opposed to some random rental price) but when a property isn’t selling right away, I know that the tendency is to try to rent it to help defray the monthly costs. In this case, it seems ridiculous, because it seems less rentable than sellable.
I’ll take one please. Oh, and I would like to rent to own, if that option is available. Please. Did i mention that my back yard on Webster Street looks JUST LIKE that back yard! Not.
I would murder people for a study and wine cellar like that
for what it’s worth (obviously a lot), that is easily one of the most prestigious locations in the city.
