worth noting that the location on west virginia avenue in ivy city isn’t a reopening – it’s been established there for years. definitely worth giving them a look.

Just called and they said the 14th St location remains open as a “drop off location”. Very cool. So you can drop off and pick your car up there while the work is done elsewhere. That option will remain until end of Feb. They are currently trying to work out a lease where they can maintain a dropoff/pickup location at this site.

This makes me sad. I used to work directly across the street and my office looked out onto this mural. It was a good, colorful friend. (As were the people at the bus stop below…)

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I will respectfully submit that this mural does not seem especially unique and looks like the building owner got his brother-in-law to do it for a six-pack. Also, having a car in D.C. can be a real convenience once you get the parking routine down. This ain’t Manhattan.
