$1380 to live in Tivoli Gardens? Proof that the rental market has gotten insane.

    • That’s actually a really good price for that area. I live 5 blocks north and pay 1275 for the same setup. You go a block south and most places are 2000.

      • I lived at 16th and Oak (around the block from Tivoli) for 1.5 years. I paid $1100 for a 2 bedroom. So $1300 for a 1 bdrm with crispy flooring and a bug problem doesn’t seem so great to me.

  • Close proximity to your neighbors shooty and stabby. All that great lighting from the police floodlights.

  • Just imagine what the folks who moved in there ten years ago are paying. Maybe $700 or less for a 1 bedroom?

  • As a warning, both of the buildings of Tivoli Gardens (1445 Otis as well) have *major* issues with Bedbugs. Recently moved out of there due to that, and I was not the only one.

  • If you apply, want the unit, but are turned down, do they keep the application fee? I am starting the apartment hunt and previously lived in an area where these fees aren’t common. I understand they don’t want people wasting their time, but it seems like a great way for management to rip people off. Any insight is appreciated.

  • Also, this building is no where near Wisconsin Avenue.

a friend of mine moved into this building and then promptly moved out like 3 days later. she said the place was completely infested with roaches.
