Your Afternoon Animal Fix + Found Parrot

If you have any fun or interesting animal/pet photos please shoot me an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say what neighborhood you’re from or upload to the PoPville flickr pool with your pets name and neighborhood. I can’t guarantee I’ll get them all posted but I’ll do my best.

“Monkey from 14th St Heights (if there is such a place)”

“Julius looked so dang cute in his Halloween costume. We took him for a walk from Logan Circle to Dupont, he made so many people smile!”

Ed. Note: He made me smile as well!

“5-year-old, Ollie, trick or treating in his hot dog costume at Cupid Cleaner’s in Adams Morgan”

And a reader writes:

“This morning I found a cold and hungry parrot or conure on my back porch. S/he is about 6 to 8 inches long and yellow green with dark blue and green tail feathers and a gray-ish white chest. Quite tame, very pretty…flew right to a pile of bird seed I put onto my railing without any shyness. I picked it up with ease and brought it inside. The Washington Humane Society on Georgia Ave has already collected the bird and has him/her at the shelter. Someone must be missing this sweet bird. Good luck – hope he finds his way home!

Found in Petworth near St Gabriel’s church and Varnum Street / Grant Circle.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
