  • MPD’s 1st District HQ bldg is literally less than four blocks from there.

While I appreciate that one suspect was caught, we can’t do a little bit better?? I have not seen any type of increased MPD presence as of late.

Has anyone else noticed an increase?

  • Sounds like more DYRS-related crime. That agency is a disaster.

  • So so happy to hear Neil’s family has filed suit against DYRS. It’s long overdue. DC’s utter failure to control its violent youth is so messed up, I hope the lawsuit actually results in some real changes. The community needs to send a strong message that we won’t tolerate violent children running the streets of DC.

    • I’ve become convinced that the agency not only fails to deter crime, they actually enable it, in some cases. Kids can easily slip out the window, run amock, and then, if questioned, have an instant alibi. “I was at Dupree House”.
