It's actually booby-trapped to be anti-kid.

This location is cursed. Buyer beware... Unless you actually make good food.
The “First floor full bath (off of study).” might be the most hideous bathroom I have ever seen in my life.
Overall I think you can get a much better deal in the area. I don’t think this place is all that great. Very blah..
I’d hate to walk in there with the lights off! Yeesh! Otherwise the house is pretty neato.
Sort of want. I absolutely hate that type of siding. But the interior looks good (minus the weird first floor bathroom) and the layout is pretty interesting. Great views. Less than a mile from the metro (although it’s uphill from the house to Connecticut Ave.)
Plus you get to a become a stakeholder in the ongoing Klingle Rd struggle – keep it closed, reopen it to traffic, convert it to a bike path?
Also, what’s the dollar threhold for house porn? Is it anything over $1M?
Yup, $1M is the threshold but I’m thinking of bumping it up to 1.5M
I know someone who owns one of those houses. It is a long trudge down that hill to then turn around and go up to CT.
The staging is so Zen-inspred that it makes me uncomfortable and un-zen-like…
Very 70s mod. That kitchen looks tiny—like what you’d find in a studio, but I like the counters. I actually think it may be well priced for that location (even if you have to walk up that loooong hill to the Metro, and that’s after you walk down the hill to Porter St.)
I dunno. The remote, woodsy location screams Tate/Polanski/Manson house to me. That said, I don’t have $1+ million on hand to buy it so I suppose my humble opinion doesn’t matter anyway.
remote/woodsy: Imagine the drive up abandoned Klingle Road being acces route to Senator Bruce Wayne (I-Gotham)’s DC BatCave!
I think the house is sort of cool, but yeah, my immediate thought was that it’s waiting to be the scene of a gruesome murder.
I like the DC BatCave idea better.
teardown.
And build another BatCave?? Someone needs to contact Bruce at Wayne Enterprises, he can more than afford the asking price…
