"Here" are currently active listings in Truxton Circle and nearby, as well as under contract and settled sales since the beginning or 2011.

The link goes to another posting. Is there a correct link to view this information? Thanks!

Well you and I might have a different idea of what an "open air drug mart" is. Ironically the only time I was ever the victim of a crime in DC was in Bloomingdale. But I'd say both neighborhoods still have their crime issues, yet both are still good places to live. The main differnce I'd say is that Bloomingdale tends to have nicer looking, bigger, more expensive housing stock, whereas Truxton Circle has smaller, less expensive (although increasingly expensive none-the-less) housing stock that is slightly closer to most of the rest of the city. I ended up in Truxton because that was the only part of the city from which both my wife and I could reasonably walk to work.

Anything south of Florida Ave. around there feels like the "other side of the tracks" compared to Bloomingdale. 1st street in particular south of Florida still appears to be an open air drug market.

I've seen a lot of nice listings around there but don't have to guts to wait out the closings of all of the public housing around there.
