Update on Banana Leaves Asian Restaurant – Re-Opening in 2 Months

Back in May ’11 I gave a brief update on the rebuilding schedule after Banana Leaves suffered a devastating fire back in March ’11. I spoke with a worker on Sunday who said they are on track to reopen in about 2 months. I took a peek inside and it is a complete gut renovation. Should be pretty sweet when they reopen. Banana Leaves is located at 2020 Florida Ave, NW. Stay tuned.

Hooray! Thank goodness, it’s been hard to find something to replace them in our delivery rotation.

I hope they keep their obscenely cheap ($8) entree prices… I loved Banana Leaves. What a shame it’s taken so long to get them back

I miss Banana Leaves. Glad they’re reopening.

    EXCELLENT news!

It has taken a really long time, but I’m just glad they didn’t leave permanently and we have one of our favorite restaurants back in business. The food is awesome and I hope they have the same people working there too, they were all very nice.
