  • Feels pretty ambitious to me…I own in this area and would love to see something like this go for this much, but it seems about $500 too high to me.

  • Nice back yard, but I’m not paying that much. Can get a comparable house up in Petworth/Brightwood Park for much less. Granted the 2 neighborhoods are apples and oranges, but I would rather pay $2,000 in Brightwood than $3,500 for something in that area.

  • In before the haters for our neighborhood, but yeah… that’s about $750 too high.

  • Waaaaay too high for that area of Hill East.

I was thinking $1000 too high, but $750 sounds about right. between all the public housing and the SE/SW freeway, I hope whoever moves in likes the sound of sirens at 3am every night.

  • $750 too high might be right…I didn’t notice that it was right on top of the freeway at first glance. On the other hand, the rental market is so tight in this area and it’s pretty close to the metro. A 2brd down the street from me rented for $2700 a couple weeks ago, I feel like it wouldn’t go any lower than that.

  • I’m surprised they didn’t take down some of the more personalized stuff (like decorations with the kids’ names) before taking the photos.

  • This area has gentrified dramatically even within the past 6 months that I’ve lived there. This price is a bit steep, but only by maybe $400-600. A 3 BR/2.5 bath could easily go in the $3100 range.

  • my friends used to live here and i think they paid 800 less about 4 years ago. it’s still way too much to pay now, although it’s great space. it’s actually really quiet because the highway is at least 40 ft below the street level at this point. great for entertaining, too.

  • I lived there 4 years ago. It’s a great, great house. At least, it was great for $2400/mo.

  • ah yes, make that 1100 less…

  • no way, that’s robbery, and right near the freeway…what a joke.

  • Nice backyard. I say $2800 or $2900 though?

  • 3 friends just moved into a 3 BR/2 bath place 5 blocks west of Georgia Ave. Metro that has a nice backyard, comparable kitchen to this one, and bigger bedrooms for a couple hundred bucks less. Yeah, $3000 sounds more realistic to me (if not less).

  • I own in the neighborhood and agree with some of the other posters that this price is about $750-$800 too high.
