  • I went to the open house on Sunday. The new paint smell was fresh! I liked some things about this house – bedrooms were a good size, it did have lots of closets and lots of bathrooms. BUT – the living room was really small, it doesn’t have parking, and there is a sliding glass door in the master bedroom that opens to NOTHING – no deck, no nothing! AND while it does have lots of windows they all look out toward the neighbor’s windows and decks – it was weird.

For the price, I keep asking what is wrong with it – cuz the location is great.

  • Assuming the Square footage is accurate (I know, a big if) and there is no major issue, this is a great price- even without parking.

  • I down the street on Park and walk by this place frequently. When I saw the price, I was kinda shocked.

With 2bed/ba condos within one block of that place going for 650-720K, and complete gut jobs of similar size (w/out parking) going for the low 600’s, I assumed the inside was destroyed.

After seeing the pics, I am really left scratching my head. No, it doesn’t have off street parking, but it is in pretty decent shape.

It is less than a 2 minute walk to Meridan Pint, Rm 11, Wonderland, and about a 4 minute walk to the Columbia Heights Metro.

I am guessing the unfinished basement is what is pricing it low, but I think some realtor is looking for a bidding war because there is no way that place goes for 639K. Look at the comps, row homes within a block radius going for 800-950K. Just seems strange.

  • the list price is really really low. definitely priced for a bidding war.

  • Definitely a great price and great location. It does need a few things though. Not a fan of the bathrooms, and the kitchen looks small, but the bedrooms look huge. Also, great front porch.

  • I think having four side neighboring homes looking in your house would kind of suck. Also it appears that there is no alley so where does the garbage can go?

  • nice place …. you get it at the price and with rates low new owner can plow money into renovating the basement on their own.

  • Bidding war for sure. I would buy that place in a heart beat if I thought I could actually get it for 639k……

  • Did this sell yet?
