Your Afternoon Animal Fix

If you have any fun or interesting animal/pet photos please shoot me an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say what neighborhood you’re from or upload to the PoPville flickr pool with your pets name and neighborhood. I can’t guarantee I’ll get them all posted but I’ll do my best.

“My partner works for the Smithsonian National Zoo on endangered species. This photo taken while doing some work at a panda reserve in China. We live in Petworth, DC. We have a cat : )”

“This is Zoey from Logan Circle. She hates having her picture taken. In fact, this is the first photo I’ve managed to get of her where she isn’t moving and/or doesn’t have glowing eyes from the flash. It still doesn’t do her justice!”

  • The best animal fix yet.

    • +1. It looks so cute and cuddly!

    • Word on the street is that Butterstick now has 2 lady friends in his Chinese pad. They’re trying to make the magic happen.

That’s just good livin’ if you ask me. Well, except the captivity thing …

  • My dog doesn’t like having his pictures taken, either! My constant efforts have managed to yield a few great photos, but I feel like I should have far more. It sucks because once you see him in person, he’s so stinkin’ cute!

    • My mom’s dog exists in photos only as a black and white blur, usually of the tail end, as he’s running out of the frame…

A photographer told me once that there is a person in Va. that charges around $1500 per photo session for pets, because the session includes a pet groomer and a pet psychiatrist so to make sure the pet remains calm, etc. 😀

  • If I were the one in that photo snuggling a baby panda on my lap, I could die happy.

I understand koalas are pretty cuddly, too, and as a bonus, they smell like cough drops!
