I gotta agree that this block is awesome. I think I’ve featured half a dozen as house of the day in the past. This 3 bed/1.5 bath is going for $699,000.

  • They don’t show much of the interior, which makes me suspicious but that really is a lovely block. Almost like stepping into another era.

Hm, interesting that the purchaser gets to choose cabinets, countertop, and appliances for a brand new kitchen! How often do developers do that? Definitely seems like a great added incentive (but I’m very picky about my kitchen so maybe it’s less important for others).

  • The house is very cool and has some amazing architectural details, but I think the price is pretty steep considering the condition. But re-reading the listing, I see there is a second lot included…hmm. That makes it hard to judge.

I’m also not sure about the $15K credit towards the kitchen – I think $15K is a very tight budget for a kitchen replacement, especially if you might want to reconfigure anything. I think I’d rather get a cash subsidy back rather than trust the previous owner to install a kitchen for me.

  • I like the current kitchen!

  • best block in ledroit, maybe . . .

    but it’s still in ledroit.

and it’s two blocks from kelly miller

    no thanks

    • You’re a jackass! Ledroit is a fantastic neighborhood. I moved into the neighborhood a year ago and I’m thrilled. You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about.

  • These houses are amazing. The problem is trying to add bath #2 and create a true master upstairs, it’s impossible without leaving one very awkward sized bedroom or turning it into a 2 bed house. Oh and the basements are only five to six feet deep, so you pay the full mortgage yourself.

  • Looks pretty awesome to me, and a seemingly good deal given the size of the yard and that huge parking area. Somebody with cash could possibly build a carriage house back there for some extra income!

As far as the kitchen – except for the out-of-place refrigerator, I like the one that there. I’d agree I’d live with that kitchen and take the $15K toward closing, if the seller would allow that. Re-doing the whole thing on that budget would be pretty tight.

  • this house is really beautiful in person… Just need another 600,000 and it’s mine!

  • Fantastic block. Lots of recent turnover. Lots of rehabbing going on. Still, asking price is ambitious. Love the banister.
