  • Not too bad for the location.

  • Agreed. Price/sq ft is on par. A little small in my opinion and the photographer definitely gave the illusion that the place is bigger.

  • “Rental pkg in rear” might be the most vague description of parking I’ve ever seen. What does this mean? I see a picture of a parking spot. Is it conveyed with the unit? Does the owner rent it to someone? Or does someone rent it to the owner?

  • I hate it when they cut up row houses for condos but I’m glad they made one unit a floor through conversion instead of chopping one floor up into two tiny units. Okay price for the location and a low fee.

  • I like that they kept some of the original details (fireplace, incredible woodwork in doorway between living room and dining room).

My quibbles: It seems like having French doors on a “bedroom” are practical only if you’re using it as an office or den (or maybe a bedroom for occasional guests), rather than as a daily-use bedroom. I guess you could put shades over the doors for privacy… but whoever’s in the bedroom is going to get noise from the kitchen.

Also, what’s up with the hardwood flooring ending shortly before the master bedroom?

Overall, looks nice, if somewhat small.

  • Sounds like a really good deal. And the condo fee is low!

  • Dining room “area?” What does that mean? That if there were more room, then the DR would go here? It says open floor plan, but mostly, it’s not. And that’s a good thing.

  • Wow. Not much to look at from the outside but pretty nice on the inside…kinda like my last girlfriend, that’s why we broke up.

Did that stupid joke even make sense? I think it sounded funnier in my head…

  • That photographer should either be given an award or sent to prison for fraud. I looked at the Mouse on House tour pics and then perused the Redfin listing to see the square footage. 748 sq. ft. is smaller than my old tiny 1 br / 1 bth apartment but the pics of this place make everything look enormous. The place is pretty well done, though. I like.

    • Wide angle lens!

    • Are you sure you had the square footage correct for your old apartment?

Large and small are relative, of course, so maybe it depends where you’ve been living… but when I lived in a 700-square-foot 1bd/1ba in the suburbs, I found it pretty large.

Moving to a 580-square-foot 1bd/1ba in the city was an adjustment.

748 square feet does sound small for a two-bedroom, though.

  • You do realize that’s the photographer’s job… to make the listing appear large and spacious? So methinks an award is in order.

    • Why do you say “methinks”? Understand it’s in some Shakespeare poem and the dude from star wars said it. But why do you? It’s pretty lame.

      • Methinks you should be less critical.

This is a great place! The kitchen needs a reno though. The stove and dishwasher look like they are left over from the Reagan administration. I’d tear out that “island” as it’s so small it’s virtually unusable. $10,000 and a little elbow grease and it’ll look great again.

      • Mayhap he was trying to spice up his comment with fun language.
