  • I was hoping for an Arthur Treacher’s.

    • At least Arthur Treachers in the Hill District in Pittsburgh served as a writing salon for August Wilson, who penned some of his finest work there.

  • I’m getting a ‘Homer as food critic’ vibe from PoP. Do you just LOVE everything? CB is ubiquitous and awful. Sorry . . . it just is.

I’m sure tourists and the 9-5 crowd will love it.

    • Prince Of Petworth

Hahaha, that was def. not a critique. And while it’s not my favorite I do enjoy it as a lunch option. When I used to work near Navy Archives metro, it was def. a good option for lunch.

Of course we didn’t have food trucks back then…

    • Really? It’s more like every chain is too lowbrow/touristy (and it sucks), and everything else is too expensive (and it sucks).

Where the hell do you people eat, anyway?

      • We make our own food. I can’t remember the last time I bought lunch on a weekday… it’s probably been several years.

      • You probably haven’t heard of it.

      • I eat in my outstanding cafeteria (it’s been favorably reviewed by WP food critics). It’s a rarity in DC, but then again, it’s not Sodexo.

If it wasn’t so good, I’d bring prepared food from home with the occasional excursion to places other than Corner Bakery, Potbelly, Baja Fresh, Pret a Manger, Subway, 5 Guys, Chipotle . . .

“Nine thumbs up? What the hell is that?”

  • wow, that is barftastic!

but seriously, why does all of their food have that taste to it?

  • Hooray! That is good news

  • Another knife wound to the heart of Chinatown.

  • As much as this takes away from the “authenticity” of Chinablock, the ball started rolling a WHILE ago with the opening of Fuddruckers and all those other touristy chains.
