The Craigslist ad says:

“2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bathroom apartment building 1/2 block off Lincoln Park. Apartment is located in The Parkman condominium building. The unit has an upstairs and downstairs, hardwood floors on main level. Newly remodeled bathrooms. Washer and Dryer in the unit. Fireplace.
Nice skylights. 1/2 bath downstairs, full bath upstairs. Good closet space. Unit is located on the top floor of the building. Sorry, no pets.”

Sounds like this could be a good roommate option. $1900 sound right for this 2 bed/1.5 bath?

  • This strikes me as a really good price. I wish I had more to say than that.

  • I would rent that for that price in a heartbeat! I feel they could even ask for almost 1k more…

  • seems like a fantastic deal

  • It’s probably low because it’s not particularly metro accessible. but if there’s a bus line that goes downtown, this would work. or it could be a steal for a someone who bikes or drives to work in the mornings.

    • Lots of people work down at M Street SE. You could go down 11th, which is really wide and has a bike path. It’s not a bad walk to the metro either– 10, 15 minutes at most and through a pretty neighborhood. I think most Hill residents do own a car, though, because it’s a relatively easy place to park and drive around.

    • You can catch the D6 headed downtown about three blocks north of here, and you’d be catching it early in its run from RFK, which is good because that bus gets crazy crowded in the mornings by the time it gets to around 8th.

Otherwise, it’s only .68 miles to Eastern Market Metro (according to a Google pedometer), so just less than 15-minute walk (but definitely not a pleasant stroll on days like today).

    • I live right around here and it is not a bad walk to the Eastern Market metro (maybe a 10 – 15 minute walk at the most).

  • Looks darn good to me, is there anything I’m missing?

  • Good deal in one of the nicest parts of the city.

  • Always seems to be more bang for your buck in the eastern part of the Hill. Would be curious to see kitchen and baths though.

  • Sounds like it would be a great deal for roommates…though there aren’t any kitchen pictures, which usually means it’s not that great. But still seems like a pretty darn good deal for the Hill!

  • Good price, but the pics do nothing for this place.

Lack of bath and kitchen pics gives the impression that something is amiss

  • You can catch the 90’s a few blocks over at 8th St and the circulator is not far for access to Union Station or the waterfront. Great location, great price.
