House of the Day

I know this is just a regular row house but I’m fascinated by the windows. Very rare to see so many on an end unit (I think we once learned that is because of modern fire codes.) This one’s from 16th St, Heights. Some of these window sizes are truly unusual:

I’d like bars on the window on the middle toward the top, back left, and the two windows on the bottom right.

    That ought to cover it.

  • I was curious about this one- taking a closer look on Monday it displays a big sign on the front with the name of an evangelical church. I wonder if it is a charity rooming housing owned by the church, or a DC-funded contract for homeless housing that pays the church to run it.

  • There is something about church administrative offices on teh sign too

  • The intersection of 14th and the street where this house is, is now a 4-way stop. I’m whining becuase the intersection is in the middle of a nice, sweeping turn that *used* to be my favorite part of 14th street on a motorcycle. Now, you have to straighten up and stop. Sucks. The view from there is neat though.
