Is Dupont the new Georgetown?
When I walked by yesterday that same sign was there.
Can one smoke there? Personally, I don't prefer to eat a nice meal at a covered roofdeck...
It's SF's version of Old Ebbitt; "old school", touristy but many locals there, and West...
that block is really charming.
Wide and deep? These are getting ridiculous. Luv it!
That’s what she said
Uhhhh, Sully – it’s a house that’s WIDE, and it extends far DEEP. Look at the virtual tour, perhaps the pretty pictures will help! Very nice house, actually.
Thanks. Nice pics. I really like the HARD WOOD floors.
Want.
Nice place, but I think it’s a little disingenuous to advertise it as a three bedroom home when one of the bedrooms (and one and half of the baths?) is in the basement. This is really a 2 bed, 2 bath house with a nice basement.
Realtors really need some rules for how to list these types of homes.
All that said, it’s really a nice place that would be great for a small family. The basement bedroom is perfect for out-of-town guests too. I’m adding it to my list of places to check out. I wouldn’t be surprised if this goes for close to asking.
Nice, but for that amount, there are nicer places where one can live.
Wide and deep? It’s under 1,600 square feet.
+1
maybe they meant “width and depth”.
too expensive. wont sell at that price
Seems quite high for not that big of a space. Looks like it does have space for parking in the back, which in that neighborhood is awesome. Price seems a bit high for me, but I am not an expert by any means in this area. I would call it 775.
“Wide and deep house” – sounds like a new kind of techno music
Sweet block. Might wish it were otherwise, but this is how much it costs to live near U Street nowadays.
when i sell my house i’m going to stage the place with kids furniture so it looks GIGANTIC!!!!!!!!!!
-patent pending
Used to live next door at 1414 in 2003-04 when this place was still a shell, remember looking out our living room window and seeing guys smoking crack in the basement well…times have changed eh?
I live on this block and while the house is nice looking and the block is more than charming, I would not want this house. It’s located too close to an alley that is home to a few homeless people. When I cut through it they’re either sleeping back there or in the garage’s of the houses. Also, enjoy the sounds of construction for the next 4-5 years within a stones throw of the house. There’s three giant condo buildings being built within 2 blocks.
Wow..
Remind me never to post on PoP when I rent/sell any of my properties…
Truth is hard on sellers, is that what you are saying?
