  • If the agent was going to say the front garden was “lavishly landscaped,” he/she should have provided a photo that actually shows the whole thing.

    From the little bit that’s visible in the photos, it looks nice but not especially impressive.

  • That dining room is depressing.

  • Sounds about right. I can imagine a 2 bedroom apartment here would rent for 3k plus, so yeah, I can see the 669. Hopefully a congressmen from the flyover states buys it, and then realizes that cars aren’t the only possible method of transportation. One can dream right?

  • Lovely little house and the location is perfect. But no way I’d by it over bigger places with comparable prices on the Hill. Be interested to see what it goes for in the end.

  • I’ve been looking at properties on A Street NE and A Street SE for the past year or so. It’s about the best location on Capitol Hill as far as I’m concerned.

    This is a small house for the Hill, but it’s reasonably priced for its location. It’s a good deal if you believe in “don’t buy the biggest/most expensive house on the block.”

  • Ugh, the real estate agent actually used “natch” in one of the photo descriptions.

  • Looks appropriately priced, and maybe even a bit underpriced. I’ve seen a few similar houses within a block or two of this location, and they tend to be in the $700-750 range.
