  • Because this will be just the thing to get me out of the funk this weather has put me in!

  • because I’m poor, hungry, and I love local musicians!

  • Ooooh, sounds fun. I’m in (for the drawing).

  • I want to go to support DCCK, eat some good food, and listen to some great music at my favorite venue in DC! Pick me! 🙂

  • I want to go because music and food/cooking are the two main passions in my life and how I spend almost all my time and money, so I certainly love the concept of bringing them together and want to support DCCK. In fact, I often do bring food and music together, but it’s usually more on the scale of bringing a cake to a house show or a picnic to a concert at Fort Reno. This has lead to me being called both “DC’s chief rock’n’roll foodie” and “punk rock Betty Crocker” by two different friends. All of that, plus I always love seeing Trouble Funk or Ra Ra Rasputin and am happy to check out the rest.

  • I’m going to have a really crappy weekend, this would make all my stress worth it. I’m a fan of everything included at this event. The food the artists and the venue. I would appreciate every moment of this event.

  • I want to go because I can’t be at my nephew’s birthday party so I need some other type of celebration to fill the void. Good food, good music, good cause…yep, that ought to do it!

  • ooh i’d love to attend to support the hard work of my housemate and her super colleagues from DCCK. so excited about the DCCK truck farm!

  • Because my boyfriend is always begging me to go to concerts like this, but I never can because I am a law student with mountains of debt…. I would LOVE to win so I can treat my boyfriend to a good night out with great music!

  • 1. I’m Cool
    2. These bands rock
    3. I want to try all these delicious places.

It’s pretty cool that DC has a lot of local great things!

  • Please pick me! I love me some good local music. And I definitely love me some fantastic local food. I’m also so poor I can’t even use correct grammer. Please sir, can I ‘ave some more(more = tix to this, in this case).

  • Because I’d never get to try food from all of those restaurants otherwise, and I’d love to support DCCK, and BONUS for great music!

  • because im hungee ?

  • Would love to go to experience awesome food and music at the 930club.

Mindless devouring of good food and music headbanging are the only two reasons to live! thought you guys got the memo?! 🙂

  • I want to go because it sounds like a fun way to support one of the best causes in town. I have to work ALL of this coming weekend (for another good cause that also pays my rent) and this will give me something to look forward to. Also, while I don’t really know ra ra rasputin’s music (yet), I do know all the lyrics (and some of the moves) to boney M’s rasputin.

  • I want to go! Went last year and it was a great event.

  • I volunteer at DCCK on the weekends and donated to their farm on a truck project. I also really like Ra Ra Rasputin, The Pietasters, and food! I’m really hoping to go!

  • Not only will attendees be supporting a great cause in DCCK but they will also be supporting the great causes that many of the culinary partcipants champion. For example, Rappahannock River Oysters works hard on the restoration of the Chesapeake Bay and the promotion of locally sourced and sustainably produced food, in addition to growing the best oysters I have ever tasted. The real stars of this show are DCCK and the wonderful and generous culinary particpants. I encourage everyone to attend this event, even if you aren’t selected for the free tickets.

  • OOOh perfect treat for a poor, hungry, music loving grad-student gentleman I have my eye on. Hook me up PoP.

  • Please pick me because I am training for a half marathon and will need all the food to eat after my training run!

  • It was a great friend’s birthday and my birthday last weekend — this would be the perfect way for us to celebrate together before I have to move back to Minnesota next month!

  • I’d like to go because my absolute favorite thing in life is free things. Plus I’m a fan of the restaurants and acts performing.

  • gimme gimme gimme!

  • Because DC Central Kitchen is a great org that provides jobs and skills to people in transition in DC. I have volunteered with them and totally dug using the freeze dry machine to package sweet potatoes. Interested to see local peeps do it up for a good local cause.

  • Because I never seen Trouble Funk and I should be ashamed of myself living in DC all this time and never seeing a go-go concert.

  • I would love to be able to go. I only recently moved into the neighborhood and am trying to get to know the city and its culture better. This sounds like a wonderful opportunity to do just that. I know some of the bands, but more importantly I think this would be a great chance to get a kickstart on what I hear is a great food community in and around town. Also I’ve never been to the 930 club!…

  • This is a great event to support one of the most incredible organizations here in DC

  • want! can haz?

  • This would be an awesome way to celebrate my first anniversary with my girlfriend. Food + Trouble Funk sounds awesome.

  • Because I’ll give DCCK a nice donation since I would be getting the tickets for free. And I want to eat that food.

  • Prince Of Petworth

    Congrats to Kevin!
