Estadio Opens for Lunch and will offer a Takeout Option in Logan Circle

From a press release:

On Tuesday, May 10, 2011, Estadio will open its doors for lunch, offering the Logan Circle community a tempting new mid-day sit-down option, as well as a selection of Bocadillos to go. The contemporary Spanish restaurant will serve lunch Tuesday through Friday from 11: 30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Estadio will offer its complete menu of pinxtos, tapas and raciones (small entrees) for lunch in the main dining room. Signature items, such as Tortilla Espanola with aioli and sweet hot peppers, will be available, along with popular mains, such as the Spice grilled chicken with cabbage slaw, rice and salsa loca and the Seared leg of lamb with roasted shallots. A vast selection of lighter fare options, including the Baby arugula with peppers, hard-boiled egg and boquerones, the Grilled scallions with Romesco and Sheep’s milk cheese, and a variety of Montadillos – open-faced sandwiches with toppings such roasted beets with whipped goat cheese – will also please mid-day diners. Pinxtos and traditional tapas are priced from $4 to $11 per plate, while raciones are priced from $10 to $14.

Executive Chef Haidar Karoum comes to the rescue of busy diners with his new Estadio To Go menu, available only at the bar or for takeout. Priced at $10 per person, guests can choose from a rotating selection of seven Bocadillos (sandwiches), with options such as Cantabrian Sardines with Shaved Vidalia Onions and Farmer Butter, Spicy Lamb Albondigas (meatballs) with Cana de Cabra, and Grilled Marinated Vegetables with Olivada, Idiazabal and Garlic Aioli, all prepared with housemade Ciabatta bread and paired with a small salad.
