Your Afternoon Animal Fix

If you have any fun or interesting animal/pet photos or news please shoot me an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say what neighborhood you’re from or upload to the PoPville flickr pool with your pets name and neighborhood. I can’t guarantee I’ll get them all posted but I’ll do my best.

“this is “Tini” aka Martini from Lanier Heights / Adams Morgan.”

“This is why we should put our toys away. . .”

“This is Marcie, of Columbia Heights, enjoying her first walk in Piney Branch Park.”

I took this photo near H St, NE and ran!

  • “It’s got fangs like… look at the bones!”

Tini has a very cool rug to lounge on.

  • Tini looks exactly like my cat! Is she mostly striped with some spots? Too cute!

  • Is that a Junkyard Cat?

  • It looks just like my cat too! POP posted his pic a while back. I call this the native DC cat. grayish, stripes, belly spots, skinnyish, smooth coat. Rat/squirrel colored and sized. Very tough.

  • What kind of dog is Marcie–she looks like she may have a touch of bouvier? She’s beautiful!

  • We’re pretty certain she’s a schnauzer mix, but aren’t sure about what else she’s got mixed in. Her previous owner told the humane society that she’s a labradoodle, which is definitely not the case. So, who knows!

  • Hello from another Marcie in Columbia Heights! Glad to see there is a canine Marcie in the neighborhood 🙂

  • Funny — your dog is the spitting image of mine, and ours most definitely IS a labradoodle. The 1st generation mixes can look like this instead of the more common curly-haired versions. Though we got her through a breeder, people regularly tell me that we’re wrong — she’s “gotta” be deerhound/wolfhound/something else . . .
