I wish I had the cash – I would put the money down “right now”. Will they be open to leaving that crazy lion chair? I’ll feel like King Richard the Lion Heart and/or King Hailee Selassie.
And what about that double shower bathroom? talk about saving some water if we shower together!
This house was on the last Logan House tour and there was some State Dept./former diplomat connection that explained some of the more unique decorating items, including the lion chair.
That’s a lot of yellow
For a million and a half, I’d like to have at least one secure parking space.
Great house — but the lack of parking is going to significantly limit the pool of buyers who will consider it.
Good Deal. The lack of parking is already reflected in the price. If this had secure parking, there is no way it would be listed for under $1.6mm. This will sell, and will sell quickly. I’d put money on it. That is a lot of house, in a great hood, with significant income producing potential.
Amazing, but I agree with everyone else that the lack of parking kills this place. I don’t think there is alley access either. So, there isn’t even the possibility of adding parking later.
There are a few other places on the market with similar size and price that include parking (perhaps even more desirable location). Granted, none have 7 bedrooms, but there aren’t too many people in DC looking for 7 bedroom homes right now either.
Meah….it’s huge, great location but I think some of the finishes aren’t in line with the high price tag.
I agree..it would need a lot of updating (bathroom tiles, weird wood thing above fireplace).
Am I crazy? I hate the kitchen. It just seems way too big, and the fridge is far away from the sink and stove.
Otherwise, I love it. Is it an in law suite because it’s not a legal apartment?
I didn’t see a bathroom down there? Is that that the kicker?
It’s listed on the spec sheet, probably just not pictured.
It’s just kind of…blah to me. The only real standout is the roof deck – which is nice, but not spectacular.
I’m sure someone will buy it, but if I had that kind of money to spend on a house in DC, I personally wouldn’t spend it on this place. Aside from the number of bedrooms, nothing about it is special.
Am I the only that thinks they are counting certain rooms as bedrooms that are not bedrooms? To me, it looks like a three bedroom house with a 1 bedroom in law suite. Am I missing something? Some of those pics are of the same bedroom. And technically, I don’t think you are allowed to count basement space towards your sq. footage, which it looks like they might be doing.
Because if this really were 7 bedrooms for $1.5, it would be snatched up in a millisecond in this neighborhood. Maybe I am wrong though.
