Your Afternoon Animal Fix

If you have any fun or interesting animal/pet photos or news please shoot me an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say what neighborhood you’re from or upload to the PoPville flickr pool. I can’t guarantee I’ll get them all posted but I’ll do my best.

  • Why is Charlie off-leash in a national park/historical site? I’m not a leash nazi – I let my own dog go off-leash in Rock Creek park – when there are no other people or animals around etc. But this is what gives all dog-owners a bad reputation.

  • um…we Photoshopped it out…. I can send you the orig if you like…..we just thought it looked better. Hangs head in shame…….

    • Wow, you’re not kidding! One can still see the shadow from the leash in the photo. Nice work.

It’s a great photo of Charlie, though.

  • Thanks for explaining – kinda funny – and a little weird. Wrinkles and leashes are not actually bad things! Both show experience, wisdom and consideration for others.

  • You know that Great Egret (the white bird) is one of the earliest Spring arrival dates (3-20-11) known for DC! The record for one coming back north during spring migration is March 15th (2002). Most will be coming back later in April.
