826DC is a great after school tutoring/literature (and more) program located in the Columbia Heights Plaza.

826DC is a nonprofit organization in Columbia Heights dedicated to supporting students ages 6-18 with their creative and expository writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write.
They provide drop-in tutoring, field trips, after-school workshops, in-schools tutoring, help for English language learners, and assistance with student publications. More info, please go to:

    I wouldn’t even want him over to my house let alone spend $250 to, what?, listen to him talk about L.A. or his Oscar experience or some shit?

    I really like the mission of 826DC, but I’m at a loss to figure who the audience is for this thing.

    I’m assuming the other event is three bands? Seems like they should raise the rate for that one. $8 is too cheap.
