Local 16 Launces New Brunch Menu for Sat. and Sun.

From a press release:

Local 16 (1602 U St, NW) has announced weekend-long brunch, featuring items from their wood-burning oven.

Locals can enjoy staples such as French Toast made with Sour Dough and Fresh Maple Syrups or Eggs Benedict served with Proscuitto and Home Fries or venture out to try the Lox Scramble Pizza, a New York-style pie baked in a wood-burning oven and topped with marinara sauce, smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, and crème fraiche. Add a $3 Mimosa and your morning is complete! The full brunch is served both Saturday and Sunday, inside and on the roof-top patio from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Does it come with douchey bros wearing too much hair gel, or is that an evening special?

    • I hate this place due to the douche factor – both staff and patrons.

    • I used to go to Local 16 when it was still somewhat cool. A few years later, when my sister was in town, I decided to take her there because it was a beautiful evening and the roofdeck seemed appealing. BIG MISTAKE becuase we spent the rest of the night fighting off douchey frat boy types who thought she was cute.

  • I’d heard they were openign a “local 11” on 11th between Park and Monroe. Any truth to that?

  • the deck is great and brunch is the perfect opportunity to enjoy it without the masses (hopefully)

  • This place has become less restaurant and more bar over time.
