“Lives like a house!” – I would prefer my house not be a basement unit. Way to much for a basement with very small rooms

  • indeed, and that “office” looks more like a windowless hallway with ugly built-in shelving.

  • Is it just me or is that kitchen ugly as hell? It looks like an updated version of my grandmother’s kitchen from 1970. Waaaaay too much wood.

I didn’t think that the price as too bad until I realized that it’s half in a basement. Ugh, it’s a basement!!!! I can’t believe someone bought this for $779K in 2006. Hopefully, they can write off the loss at least. Because this one is headed for a serious “price adjustment.”

  • …eats like a meal.

  • I personally don’t like it but I think it’s a decent price for the area. The patio, basement, parking and dedicated office is a rarity for this area.

But on the other hand … the kitchen is … not optimal. The columns are horrific (I guess they are structural?) and the appliances are barely mid-range (electric range, low-end microwave, etc). It was a bad idea to make the cabinets same color as the wood floors. And the closed-up fireplace is just odd.

The bathroom finishes are not particular impressive. I don’t know why they chose bathroom vanities with such little storage. However the tile work in the bathroom is nice and the office is small but more than adequate for almost anyone.

Certainly the way the unit is staged with the old -fashioned furniture doesn’t add to its appeal. I can understand why it’s been on the market for 55 days already.
