Your Afternoon Animal Fix

If you have any fun or interesting animal/pet photos or news please shoot me an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say what neighborhood you’re from or upload to the PoPville flickr pool. I can’t guarantee I’ll get them all posted but I’ll do my best.

  • come here little waaabit!

  • that cat has beautiful eyes

  • Caption for first pic: Dust Bunny

  • So cute! How is your bunny as a pet? Do you have other pets in the house? How about potty training?

    • I am not the owner of that particular rabbit, but I had rabbits growing up and they are actually usually like cats in that it’s pretty easy to get them to go in a litter box (and most just naturally do on their own). They are great little pets overall!

I used to have a rabbit just like Frances! He was litter box trained, but had an unfortunate wire-chewing problem that eventually ended his life. 🙁

        • my roommate in graduate school had a cute little rabbit as a pet. Overall she was great. We had a cage that we left open that she would hop into when ever she needed to us the litter box. The only down side was she loved to chew wires. Luckily, we became aware of this problem before anything bad could happen–besides needing to replace a set of speaker wires. We went around and tapped all our wires (small speaker wires, electrical wires, everything) out of her reach.

        • A good training technique for wire chewing that I used for my cats is taking a sponge damped slightly with soapy water and rubbing down the wires. The soap smell and taste is a big deterrent and they soon think all wires taste like that.

  • I am in love with that bunny.

    • me

Ditto. I’m glad that they didn’t post their address, because I might have to kidnap the little guy. (joking, of course, just in case! But damn, that bunny is too friggin cute.)

  • I know Frances personally and must say that she is as lovely and snuggly as she looks. She also likes to chew wires, but only when she gets mad!
