I love this house. Does $2350 sound reasonable for this 2 bed/2 bath?

  • Haven’t we already seen this rental before?

  • Still, I’m saying it’s very reasonable. Beautiful place!

  • i’ve been on the apartment hunt and have noticed this ad reappearing on a weekly basis – kind of a tip-off that it is way overpriced.

  • Just moved into a row house about block and a half away from this place. We have 2.5 bedrooms, a back patio, garage and front yard and pay $2400. Based on that, I’d say this apartment is waaaay overpriced.

  • Overpriced for a basement in that neighborhood.

That said, it looks lovely, and it would be a great deal if it had outdoor space and parking or was in U street or MtP or was $500/month cheaper.

  • beautiful and overpriced!

  • Has anyone actually checked out the place? I’m curious to know what the rest of the inside looks like. This has to be the most impressive buidling (to me) in Ledroit Park. It’s absolutely massive and right on the circle there.

  • it is a good deal. lower u street is in some ways more desireable than the rest of the corridor. you’re four blocks from the metro. maybe not a great deal, but a good one.

  • I think they’re trying to charge more because of the largeness. Both bedrooms are pretty big.

It’s really nice for a basement abode. Private patio for a grill. I actually think I’d strongly prefer this to a comparable 2 bedroom that was on the main level.

I think this should be $1950 or $2050 + utilities.

Oo I love that house! I walk by it almost every day with the dog. One day last year I saw a face in a window in the top level… it was probably an actual person but I always think that house is haunted now.

Re: price, I rent out one bedroom of my house for $900/mo a block away, so I’d think a two bedroom apt with a patio would go for $1800+util or a little more.

  • what’s awesome about this apartment is location/ proximity to Brian Brown’s house (the Anna Cooper house); forget about your gym membership: for free (suggested donation of $.025 per visit) you can hop on his porch and get a complete body workout as he keeps a sweet universal machine on the 2nd street side of his wrap around porch!
