  • If it’s 900 sq feet, yes. This is like a $1500 + utils rental. Not too out of line for a giant one bedroom ’round there.

    • A giant one bedroom in a basement though? I’d love to see comparable units in that area and see how they compare based on price.

  • Terrible location, I would ask how many people have walked that block and the traffic there by New York Ave is unpleasant.

  • Sounds about right to me considering all utilities and cable and internet are included.

  • If you take out utilities, you’re looking at something like a $1550-$1600/month apartment. That seems like the high end for a basement. The kitchen is TINY with almost no room for cooking – if they actually redid the kitchen, they should have invested in some more counter space. Also, the bedroom doesn’t look all that big. OTOH, it’s a safe neighborhood and GoogleMaps suggests that there shouldn’t’ be too much traffic.

  • The kitchen is not that small. Craigslist limits the number of photos that you can post, so that photo only shows 1/2 of the kitchen. It’s still a galley-type kitchen but it’s fairly large for a 1bd. The apartment is still available, http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/doc/apa/2134259426.html

There’s a bit of traffic on 4th st during rush hour, since it’s so convenient to get on 395, but otherwise, it’s a nice street. Close to CityVista and full of your typical DC young professional and established residents.

(I’m the guy renting it out, thanks for the feedback)
