Roti’s 1747 Pennsylvania Ave, NW location
From a press release:
“The retail momentum continues in NoMa, with the recent signing of Roti Mediterranean Grill at Constitution Square. The 2,386-square-foot space fronts First Street, NE, and sits between Potbelly Sandwich Works, which opened in September, and Tynan Coffee and Tea, an independent coffee shop that opens in November. Roti will open by early 2011.”
For those not familiar with Roti, you can see their menu here.
In other big news they say that the Harris Teeter will open Dec. 7th.

Actually, it was a nice green space before the metro came in and put the fence around the...
Also, don't ride through red lights and stop signs.
Rave: started a new job a couple weeks ago and like it!
Rant: Was doing contract work...
What about the future home of Bacon Funeral?!??!?

Roti = Awesome
They signed the lease a few months ago, so it’s great to see they’re finally going to get started on the buildout. Definitely my favorite lunch place around Farragut West.
HT opening 5 weeks from today; Roti opening “early 2011″; and Watershed opening in April. I likey.
Will they be open on weekends and in the evenings?
I hope so… the Penn Ave location is only open for breakfast/lunch M-F, but this is right between two places with weekend hours, and below 500 apartments and 200 hotel rooms (and of course on the same block as Harris Teeter!).
A couple of their Chicago locations have extended hours, so they clearly don’t have some sort of corporate policy against it. I’ll be there a lot for dinner if they have the hours. Hopefully they’ll apply for a liquor license as well.
SWEET! I love having new options within 3 blocks of my house.
across the street from the harris teeter will be a cvs. not huge news, but kind of exciting.
also, theres a capitol bike share station outside of harris teeter.
and very swanky park benches.
