Ripple located at 3417 Connecticut Ave, NW will be expanding into the vacated Foot Solutions space next door according to a liquor license application. It says:
“LICENSEE REQUESTS EXPANSION OF PREMISE INTO CONTIGUOUS INTERIOR SPACE INCREASING THE SEATING CAPACITY FROM 58 SEATS TO 122 SEATS”
Seems to be a trend in Cleveland Park. Palena is expanding into the old Magruders just up the block and in the same strip Ardeo and Bardeo are combining spaces.

Looking forward to whether there’s a market in the expanded Palena, and what type of stuff will be there if there is.
Talk about a “ripple effect.” :-*
nice!
I’m still mourning the loss of Aroma and haven’t been to Ripple yet, but I’ve heard the food is excellent. Any reviews?
No one should mourn the loss of Aroma, that place was a smoke-filled loud hell hole. Ripple, on the other hand, is amazing. Like a nicer version of Blue Ridge.
No way, Aroma was great!
Ripple’s chicken and dumplings (not sure the exact name)…. so tasty I thought about that flavor for months afterward.
Heading back for what it used to be, when Roma had those storefronts, before they got divided.
Roma was great. FWIW one can still hang out in the garden space behind Firehook.
everytime i see the sign I think its name is Nipple. I get excited…. then sad.
I tried Ripple for the first time this past weekend. It’s great, but small and crowded. People were still waiting for tables when I left at 10:45. So the expansion is definitely a good thing!
