  • What is it going to be” redeveloped” as?

  • My understanding is that the theater isn’t slated for redevelopment, yet, by anyone but the current owner. The building has historic designation and the District has demanded that the owner do a number of expensive repairs to property to save it from destruction by neglect.

This auction seems like the owner’s efforts to strip the property of its value to historic preservationists to get them to back down.

I don’t judge the guy who owns the building, he can’t afford to fix it and no one out there wants to buy it. But still, it’s a sad story.

  • Yikes- thanks for the info and those links
