  • I can’t believe a Realtor may make a $300k plus commission and doesn’t even bother running spell check on the flier: “Elavator”

  • Want.

I don’t know the standards for selling property at this level but one would think spelling properly would be a good idea. Obviously a house like this is in a class by itself and buyers wouldn’t necessarily be using an open source like this for properties to look at, but if you are going to ask $11 million then at least a picture of the master bedroom/bathroom should be included even if the picture are only used as a teaser.

  • Looks like an idea house for the Salahi’s. They need to get Stacie Turner on it for a showing!

  • Love what I see, wish there were more to see, and wondering why some agent will walk away with a 250-300k payday without having put together a full photo tour. If you are selling a house with a pool in Georgetown, you include a picture of that pool in Georgetown. That should be self-evident.

    • Look, if the house sells without all the info. and hype why bother? Also, it’s just possible that people in this market might appreciate that their future home not be made totally public to the likes of you and me. If it were me in a position to consider this house I’d rather not everyone have seen photos of it.

      • Yeah yeah yeah. But the people in this market likely aren’t bored and chained to their desks, either, so throw us a bone!

(You make a fair point. I actually considered that before posting my original comment — maybe this is a super-rich person’s “secure” home and you wouldn’t want details of the private rooms floating around in the public sphere, lest unsavory men in the business of taking ransoms use it against you. But then I looked up the owner, and he didn’t seem like the kind of guy who needed that.)

  • Beautiful house. And, unlike a lot of these House Porn properties, it’s nice that it’s not in the middle of nowhere.

  • But it’s a whole ten blocks to Metro?!!? ;-)

  • I love Weekly Wednesday House Porn.

  • I love this house. I want that library. I just wish they’d provided more pictures of the outdoor space.

  • OMG! Rich people with actual taste. H-Porn in the truest sense of the word but why no bed/bath pics?

    • If you lived in an $11M house, would you post pics of your bedroom?
I don’t think I’d list my house publicly at all, definitely not pictures. Isn’t that what Sotheby’s is for?

      • Great minds think alike.

      • Isn’t that the whole point of the MTV Cribs franchise and its spin-offs?? Were I the realtor of this place, I’d throw up a big ol’ picture of the master bedroom with the singular caption “Where the magic happens.”

  • I want the roman/greek mosaic to be hanging on my living room wall

  • There’s an identical one of these in Ottumwa, Iowa.

  • Republicans are in congress now, so with a little good old fashioned American hard work every one of you whiney-ass; farmer’s market shopping; ghetto-mentoring; zip-car using; Home Depot flip-job haters will soon be able to afford a place like this!

  • Geez…what a shit hole :)

I live down the street, know the folks selling and have been in the house a few times. The best photos of the house and grounds were left out. I also agree, considering some asshole realtor is looking to cash in with a 325000 dollar commission, you would think they would atleast run a spell check on some things.

Then again, Georgetown, Cap Hill and Cleveland Park are filled with “lifer” Realtors who get these “no work to sell involved / sell themselves” listings only because they heard their name at the yacht club last weekend.

    Ridiculous

  • All that space and the rooms look so tiny and crowded and awkward. Give me a suburban McMansion “open space” design for 800K and I will be happy.
