For we old heads and normal commuters who don’t bike, this is a tough thing. I just leave earlier for the 79 at Columbia and Ga. I may just take the Metro, as I must walk to 12th and F anyway.

I bike down 9th every day. I’d say that the lane closures have added a good 6 or 7 seconds to my commute.

To Emma — since the lane closure, I have been taking for the 70/71 since it drops you off on the other side of the Convention Center at L Street, so it’s almost the same. Normally it’s much slower than the 79, but not right now.

Yeah that’s going to be like that for the next four years, give or take. More likely take, once cranes start coming in.

You should bike from CH to Chinatown.

Major slowdown most mornings, so much so that since Mass is my stop, I just get off at the stop before it now and walk down 7th. It’s absolutely ridiculous to spend 20 minutes to drive 3 blocks. Hope it’s over soon!
