  • One word: yuck. There is a location in Courthouse that I tried a few years back and worse yet, brought friends with me. There pizza tastes like the frozen kind from the early 90’s that went in to the toaster oven. Don’t do it!

    • never had that problem. pizza is adequate, not amazing, but never had bad pizza there. never came close to seeing what you saw over multiple times.

I like Listrani’s and when I lived closer I went often. They once delivered pre-ordered pizzas to a party at the Department of Labor, so I think they are pretty flexible. Have you checked out the new Peete’s in Tenleytown? Good values on the specials.

  • beggers can’t be choosers.
if this was in a more commercial area, it wouldn’t stand a chance.

  • I live right down the street from here but don’t come too often (when it comes to eating out in the neighborhood, you can’t beat Chen’s Gourmet). I did have some pretty good lasagne from there once, though.

  • It’s a bit of a village out there. In that context Listrani’s is a nice, easy-to-frequent place, with the usual caveats (variable service, wine by the glass arrives warmer than blood, tastes awful). But I used to get their pizzas for carryout, and as I remember it I liked their desserts pretty well too.

  • they have good salads.

I think grubhub delivers for them, and I don’t think grubhub has territory restrictions.
