  • Aw man, Pet Mac DC is a non-profit org with a retail shop – really not cool to steal from those guys. They’re so kind hearted and sweet :-/

    • I adopted my kittens from PetMac. I find it ridiculous that they got robbed, but I find it even more ridiculous that the corner store next to me just felt the need to open up with newly installed plexiglass when this sort of crime happens everywhere.

  • This seems like a good reason to always pay with plastic. If stores don’t have a lot of cash on hand, they’re not much of a target and have less to lose.
And two pet stores? What kind of cash was he expecting from them?

  • This just affirms the fact that criminals of this type are not the “pick of the litter”…

4 robberies for probably much less than $1000…

Also where is the link to the video?

  • This is why cashiers and storeowners should be armed. Shoot the robber on the spot.

    • They say back in Tennessee they were having issues with armed robberies at liquor stores, so they started putting cops with loaded shotguns behind the scenes, and when it went down, they went down. They say robberies dropped…??

  • how can you pinpoint the weight range into 10 pounds, but can’t get the height to anything less than a 6 inch range? it is the difference between a tall man and a very short man.

  • This explains why Rita’s was closed that Wednesday. I went there and saw the sign but no explanation. I hope they catch the guy and will keep an eye out, for whatever it’s worth.

    • And with the business model of Rita’s (low cost single servings), it is so difficult to make it by every month with the rent and expenses at that address, nice new building and all.

Across the street, the public parking garage attendant was held up at gunpoint two months ago.

Hard to keep regular help with all these thugs getting away with it.
