  • I would only live there if I could rent the pop up with flimsy siding and miniature bay window.

  • Insane. As in, insanely expensive for an 800 sq ft apartment in that area.

    • agreed. i mean i love the area, but the landlord is dreaming if he thinks upshur and rock creek demands that $/sq ft

  • Take it from a landlord: putting the stove next to a wall with no backsplash/sidesplash is a monumentally bad idea. Not even a good tenant will keep that clean. And re-painting over grease splatter is a PITA.

  • It’s a little high for the area and for the size. But it includes utilities and allows pets, which is a plus. ANd the listing forgt to include El Limeno and Hitching Post in the nearby bars and restaurants! How do you miss that?

  • It is hard to find affordable 2 BR rentals near metro with outdoor space that welcome pets anywhere in NW. This may make a good transitional for room mates or someone with a baby looking to move out of Adams Morgan or some such costly neighborhood.

  • “All pets accepted (2 minimum;must be trained); $500 pet fee”

so you’re allowed pets, but only if you have a lot of them. two at an absolute minimum!

    • No, no – you’re reading it wrong. You’re allowed a lot of pets, but only two of them have to be trained.

  • Entire houses rent for less than that on Allison

  • it’s a rip…i live with a couple other roomies about 15ft from metro escalators (i know, great find), and we’re paying way less per head…waaaay less. granted, not redone, but what’s the transaction cost of walking from abe’s cabin to the metro every day? ouch.
