  • According to Wikipeida the world record for a continuous concrete pour was for the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. That was in 1993. In one continuous 54 hour period a truck load of cement was poured every 2.5 minutes.

It holds the world record for most concrete poured at one time. Keep in mind that in 1993 Malaysia was a developing country.

Mid March 2010 the contractor for the Columbia Heights Streetscape started the final cement/pave job, a task of only 3-4 blocks.

10 weeks later the contractor isn’t even half done.

What a difference a few months makes? Not much.

  • Well put, Thought. Well Put!

  • Even when its done and very nicely, you people are not happy.

Doesn’t someone want to blame the president?

  • “Doesn’t someone want to blame the president?”
