Arthur is referring to the fact that Takoma DC and Takoma Park MD are full of hippies, and that the addition of a mid-century furniture shop would give them other options to chose from to furnish their hippie houses.

My boyfriend and I bought some dining chairs from the owner (Doug) in April, and had a great experience. He has a really extensive selection of vintage items in broad range of prices. This comment is going to sound a bit nit-picky, but isn’t that neighborhood technically called Sherperd Park, and NOT Takoma, DC? (I suppose that if it’s on the East side of Geogia Ave, maybe it is and I could be wrong…)

And, also, to clarify, it’s not “Takoma Park DC”, it’s just Takoma. Takoma Park begins when you cross over the line into MD.

Please make that correction.

Sounds like a great shop. This gives me an excuse to travel to the top of NW Georgia Ave other than Ledo’s Pizza.
